The biggest problem with a McDavid trade is that the Oilers can’t win with him and no depth. If you trade depth to get him you’ll more than likely be in the same boat as Edmonton. Now trading your best center and a couple firsts and high end prospect for him is way more reasonable. You’ll be upgrading your scoring without sacrificing scoring depth.

he's good enough and young enough that EDM could sell everyone else for picks and A level Prospects who could grow along Mcdavid from your Sanheim's ,Nutivaara's and Sergachev's to your Frost's ,Steel's and Kyrou's . there is zero logic in Trading Mcjesus who alone outsells his entire team in Jersey sale's not to mention 98% of all other NHL players in general
