Good trade for Montreal. Gives them a better defenseman, while getting rid of a contract.

Crazy that many people said it was a fair deal. Trades like these is what makes Bergevin, Bergevin. Making those depth trades which always turns into a massive win for MTL. He's the true bargain-bin GM.

Looking at this trade 2 years later and it's stunning that we could turn two AHLers into the solid defenseman that Kulak has become.

Little did I know just how much better than Valiev & Taormina he would be.

You’d have to ask Flames fans, but I’m pretty sure things turned sour between Kulak and the Flames during arbitration which I think played a factor in both side’s willingness to part ways.

If Brad goes out and gets this dude back this deadline, it will be the most Brad Treliving thing of all time. Its a good thing we traded him to keep GOAT Mike Stone
