Description
What the hell do we do with Voynov? He's definitely going to be reinstated. What does he get signed for? I say we use him to unload the Phaneuf contract and continue the youth movement on D. And why Montreal? No reason other than cap space...

They better not let this POS back in the league, or hope no other gm is stupid enough to even think about trying to bring him in

why not ?
we would take him as he's easily the best D for Russia in international competition
i can think of about 6 teams that would take him

i worked security long enough and have testified in enough trials to know these things arent as simple as they seem .
(assuming your opinion is based on why he was banned with the incident concern abuse)

its Innocent until Proven guilty in My Country

His record was expunged today in court, so as much as I agree with you re: his crime, the league will argue that he's done his time (his fiance ended up marrying him) and he deserves another chance...

I think that is the counter-point, but due to the heat LA already took when they allowed him to practice when the original crime was being investigated, I'm pretty sure they're going to move him and give him a "fresh start..."

and in USA that accounts for **** all

Mike Smith of Trailer Park Boys went threw the same **** right after for getting in a yelling match.
in USA what they call police wouldnt pass for a mall cop in most nations

moving him to Canada would be best for him given how USA's ''Justice system'' works and him knowing first hand how foreigners are treated by ICE it just makes sense to bring him to a nation where the police remember they are public servants and are there to uphold the law

Well, I might say it differently, but I think I agree with most of your point...

Expunction has absolutely nothing to do with immigration. The conviction will still show up on any immigration check and the US and Canada can/will both consider the conviction before granting a visa.

There's still a lot of work to do before the league can even consider reinstating him.
