i like this very much - just sekera and russell i think
I'm not done of buying either out tbh, but I'm very much into paying to have them gone after July 1st 2019. Based on NMCs and how protection lists will be concerned, Russell makes more sense as an immediate buyout, but the way his recapture penalty fluctuates really puts the team in a bind. Sekera might be less useful in the short term but his NMC is easier to work with down the road. Tough to say exactly.

Like this. My thoughts are maybe Demelo from sharks? And Derek Ryan instead of filppula
I prefer Filppula strictly because he's a countryman to Puljujarvi and a bit more adept on the PK. Jokinen was supposed to help mentor Jesse but didn't pan out, and I still think he'd benefit from having an aclaimated Finn on the roster. Koskinen as well.
Didn't realize Demelo was a RHD. I think he'd be much more reliable than Sproul.
Having seen Ryan play at uAlberta and how he's progressed with Carolina, I'd expect him to fall out of affordability. I know for a fact that Val will be cheaper.

I’d be happy if this was the starting roster next season. I have one major concern though - you’re banking on Rattie to be the top line RW. This is a stretch... yes, he had success in this role last season, but only for a dozen games in what was essentially garbage time. Counting on more of the same is a risky bet.
Eh Rattle has no reason not to pan out. If he doesn't, no risk in trying either Rieder or Duclair in that spot. Bringing in an insurance contract like Czarnik probably requires losing one of Aberg or Duclair. If Rattie hasn't clicked by the New Year, I'd just look into Yamamoto if he's ripping the AHL apart.
