    People: explain to me. Is that a question of value or a question of need? Cause honesty saying that trade isn't fair in terms of value is either strongly overvaluing ROR or strongly undervaluing Pacioretty. Good god he scored average of 35 goals in 4 back to back season with literally no valuable center.

    ROR plays center? What kind of an upside is that. Always depends on your needs. Buffalo have no decent LW.
    You're just describing the two players and giving all advantages to ROR. Teams need both two way and pure offensive players.

    And honestly that does that change to come off a down year seriously. Every player have down year. Not like he didn't show consistency in the past 5 seasons.

    Left wings are easy to find, there are 4 LW UFAs this year who put up 50 points each year. Down years at 25 are very different than down years at 29, its a lot more of a gamble that a 30 YO player will come back to form.
