The Sabres have decisions to make in regards to goaltending for the 2018-2019 season.

Situation:
* Linus Ullmark is moving up from the Rochester Americans (AHL) and playing for Buffalo full-time.
* Robin Lehner is a restricted free agent.
* Chad Johnson is an unrestricted free agent.

Johnson and Lehner have been with the Sabres long enough to show what they have done and what they did not do. The Sabres have an opportunity to move on from Lehner and Johnson with Ullmark and a proven goaltender to split time for the next one or two seasons.

The Sabres would be smart pursuing a free agent goaltender. Cam Ward, Kari Lehtonen, and Jonathan Bernier are popular in a shallow goaltending free agent market.
