Take out Pulock and take a dman of your choosing - or add another second. Not too excited about mason either but if it means Trouba...

I figured I might be pushing it with Isles fans for Pulock.

Lmao when it comes to Trouba I don’t think I’d have many demands but he is honestly the best dman we got

Meh Jets fan here and I'm not interested in that deal even with Pullock so to pull him out makes it worse for the Jets. Top pairing RHD at 23 years old are scarce in the NHL and though Pullock scores more points, Trouba is tasked with shutting down the opponents best. Also Pullock is far from being as proven as Trouba. Albeit like the fact he's got more control but still

I'd love to see them keep everyone but I just don't see it with Conner, Wheeler, and Laine all up next year. With Snow and Weight getting punted I think this type of deal is what Lou wants to make to convince JT to stay.

Jets will never get true playing value for Trouba if they take bad so little money in a trade. But as a trade it seems to satisfy both teams...player and cap . Good thoughts.

I'd want both Islanders' firsts and Pulock for Trouba, Copp and Mason. I get the fact that Mason is viewed as a cap dump but we signed him to be our starting goaltender just last offseason. He has the potential to bounce back and the Islanders are in the market for a stop gap #1 tender. Copp can play all 3 forward positions and has had success moving up and down the lineup. He's also a very valuable piece and not a throw in, even though him and Trouba are best buds. I could even include Dano to sweeten the deal if the Islanders wanted. (The 13th forward would be Petan, not Pirri though.)

D pairs would be:
Morrissey Myers
Niku Buff
Kulikov Pulock
Chiarot Poolman

With the abundance of wings the Jets have, why not keep your top pairing RHD and move Ehlers or Connor? Both would get a nice return and you could plug either Roslovic or Vesalainen into the 2nd left wing spot.

Perhaps...but I think it will be a young return with low salary expectations in order to shed salary now to save space for tomorrow. In your opinion what would be a better offer the Jets would want?

It depends on what Winnipegs expectations are they may want players that could help them now. Maybe Lee and Pulock + (I'm not saying Trouba is worth that) but of course Winnipeg has no first this year so maybe they ask for both firsts + (Again not saying he's worth that but many many teams will want him if hes available so it will drive up the price).
