I get that. It's just the idea of making a deal, knowing you are leaving, isn't generally a good thing for a number of reasons.

He wanted to do one last trade before he left. It's not a blockbuster or anything, and it's a pretty decent trade too.

Any chance that 2 NMCs can be traded in the same season... I've had significant interest in Shattenkirk, which allowed me to move him and now many people are interested in Lundqvist. Would help to accelerate my rebuild if I was able to move him.

Doubt it. These are the rules that were agreed to, and if we make exceptions here, then we have to start making exceptions nearly everywhere. It’s best to stick to the rules unless there’s some whacky scenario where we need to bend them a little

We will do this, but if a second NMC is moved then a draft pick forfeit occurs, depending on the player, it could be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick and must be that teams draft pick (not a pick they acquired)
