retain anoter 250k-400k of shaw's contract and the hawks accept that trade. pretty good deal for both teams.

So you add Tavares but you dont move Toews? You have Tavares getting paid the same as Toews. Dont see how they pull that off.

Habs position of strength is LW. I trade Pacioretty and Galchenyuk. To help their actual weaknesses. Center and a LD to play with Weber.

The actual point of this roster is strength down the middle. Hence the title of the post. In capitals. TAVARES AND TOEWS.
