Wennberg had a down year, I'd wait till next years deadline if I was Buffalo to maybe consider this deal because you do not know if he will return to be that 1C, if he does not , do not trade for him. If the does then I think Buffalo would consider it.

Would you swap out Carlsson and the 2nd for Murray and Milano? Maybe Buffalo throws in McCabe or someone else to even it out. Seems fair tho but I'd like a winger back

IMO (maybe you want to make a different comparison) this is not enough. I think we can develop a trade but his is insufficient.

To my mind, this an offer Buffalo cannot refuse.

Instead of the 2nd rounder, perhaps add in a wildcard like Gavrikov.

Or maybe even make a trade of Wennberg, Murray and Dubinsky for ROR and a pick?

Have you received any positive comments regarding this trade? I explained how I felt this trade measured up to O'Reilly's last trade, please explain your thought process of why Botterill would want Dubinsky. Wennberg & Murray are great components, Wennberg would be a great addition with the other Swedes that are joining the Sabres. Murray appears to be 5th/6th defenseman and the Sabres have a lot of those.

I would make this trade everyday of the week and twice on Sundays...... Wennberg is the one player i covet most this off season.

i would prefer a winger over the Dmna as shibbal18 points out but if that is not possible I still make the deal.
