Aho and svech I'll probably keep.
BARKOV is going to cost a great deal, best contract in hockey. 1st/2nd oa could help your chances. But top tier young talent plays.
Looking for 18-22yo studs in most deals, can take back 1-2 cap dumps.

Would you alright with a condition on the 2nd: if Landy scores 73 or more points, the 2nd turns into a 2019 1st?
That makes more sense for us; we're giving a solid defensive 1st liner who can also score a good number of points for a good defenseman (Faulk), who is good at what he does, but is slightly outclassed by Landy; so if Landy takes the next step and scores more points, we should be compensated; if not, and he doesn't take the next step, then we don't get that little bit more

Top right handed D are harder to come by then a top6 lw like landy.
Faulk is slightly more valuable then Landy for that reason
Gabriel Landeskog
2019 1st round pick (conditional)
Conor Timmins
Condition: The Carolina Hurricanes will receive one of the two 2019 1st round picks in the possession of the Colorado Avalanche. The Hurricanes will receive whichever pick is higher in the draft order of the 2019 Entry Draft. Additionally, the picks are top-5 protected; if either of the picks are top-5 draft selections, the Hurricanes will receive the other; if both are in the top 5, then Carolina will receive the 2020 Colorado 1st round pick, along with the 2019 Colorado 2nd round pick.

I'd be pretty close to writing this up without the 2nd on our side and removing the condition that says if both picks are Top 5 (Colorado should be playoff bound again, they are only going to get better imo)
Then we could take the lower of the 2 picks, if the lower pick is Top 10, we send a 3rd fo you, if the pick is 11-31, then no further compensation given

We'd be willing make it just the OTT pick top-5 protected, so if it is in the top 5 you get the COL pick.
However, we need the 2nd

Whoops. How about this:
Landy, Timmins, 1st round pick (top-5 protected), 5th (2019)
for
Faulk, Gauthier, Fleury, 2019 1st (lottery protected, if it's a lottery pick, you give 2019+2020 2nds) , 3rd (2019)

It's a 1st from you guys, 2nd from us. You can add a condition on Landy if u want
74 points or more and we have a tentative deal, need to get reconfirmation from pl
Starting to think I'm giving up a lil too much for a upgraded pick next year (that may never happen in the game)
