These trades all say, "the first overall pick is not available to you." But if you took a little bit away from each, I bet you could move down four or five times, until you miss out on your first round pick entirely, but end up with five good, young players, and five second round picks.

Sometimes a first overall pick is Alex Ovechkin. Sometimes it's Radek Bonk, or Alexandre Daigle. It's hard to tell.

Dahlin isn't getting traded. He is what Buffalo needs right now.

Ottawa trade - Nylander is a top notch prospect that Buffalo needs to keep. Karlsson isn't looking to be a part of a rebuild, he wants to win, and he wants to win now.

Anaheim trade - Rakell is Anaheim's near future replacement for Getzlaf.

Boston trade - Your nuts if you think you can get all of that for Dahlin.

Carolina trade - Hanifin is the future of Carolina. They don't need Dahlin.

Dallas trade - Heiskanen isn't getting moved, Dallas picked him, and they are going to stick with him.

Florida trade - What are you thinking? Borgstrom is not getting traded.

Nashville trade - Saros is the future starter in Nashville, Nashville doesn't need Dahlin.

Islanders trade - I'm not sold on Dal Colle, he's already 21 and hasn't recorded his first point.

Tampa Bay trade - WHAT? POINT, SERGACHEV AND CIRELLI?

Toronto trade - Marner getting moved within the division? No thanks.

Vancouver trade - Demko is the future starter for Vancouver, not getting moved.

Overall, you are REALLY over valuing the 1st overall pick.
