Which way is the 2nd round pick going? To Montreal or to Edmonton

Beware of Lucic. Have a look at the contract and his production as an oiler.

Look at pacioretty this year... beside lucic is interrested to play in montreal and can bring the physical side that this team need in offense.

I don't hate why MTL fans would be romantic about adding Lucic, but it's related to what he did in Boston. You can get him for much less or Edmonton could give you a good pick and/or prospect to take his contract.

i think your underestimate Lucic, he won a cup stanley, 29 yo , can score and can punch anybody who would touch his team mate... at 4000000 for 5 year, any time buddy + he came from BC like price, weber, petry, benn, schlemko,etc...

I like the deal for mtl.

Lucic would play his ass off atleast 5 times a year against Boston and if the games head to head are spread out there’s a chance he sustains the pace for 5- 10 more games each time. If he played to the max of that suggestion (playing his ass off 50 games) you’d have the Boston lucic because he took atleast 20 games off each season near the end in Boston.

Boston lucic + nuge for those assets is an enormous deal for mtl and would probably give the canadiens a realistic shot at being a playoff team even if they don’t overhaul the defense.

Watched him a lot this year... think you are overestimating. He was a boat anchor. 1 goal after Christmas I believe.
