Great move for the Canucks in my opinion.
Holm has played very well in the AHL in his first season in North America, but he is also 26 years old and still not great defensively. He didn't have a spot in the Canucks future plans with Edler, Del Zotto, Hutton and Pouliot all ahead of him at LHD, plus Juolevi and McEneny pushing for spots next season. I really don't know why Vegas wanted him, they already have a ton of LHDs.
I've always been a big fan of Leipsic ever since I saw him play in his WHL days against the Giants. He works extremely hard every shift and isn't afraid to be physical despite his size. He also has quite a bit of offensive talent and at 23 years old I could see him developing into a good third liner.
