I wish they would have kept things simpler. I liked watching styrofoam targets explode, and why does everything have to light up, and what's the point of lifting a pick off the ice to feed it through a hole?
Not to mention the give and go section, which was just a silly transition between hitting the lights and hitting the tiny nets, which are practically the same thing.

They should have a fan come down for each event as well. Also, for shooting accuracy, they should have targets with a picture of Marchand's face.

Still can't believe they let a suspended player participate.

3 great moments this all-star game.

Probably the worst all star game ever. There was no hype and it was not interesting. Turned it off after hardest shot (only thing I wanted to watch)

Honestly the best parts of the competition were Sportsnet's talks with Subban and Price.

It mightve been so bad based on the fact that not a single habs player was on the ice tonight

The game is the worse part, only thing I usually find good is the skills competition

Didnt even watch the final game because i was bored out of my mind

Can't stand the game itself and haven't watched in a few years. Even this year the skills competition was bland to me.

Hardest Shot - Maybe we've been spoiled with the 108+ MPH shots, but this year just seem boring especially since Ovie had it wrapped up before his 2nd shot even happened.

Fastest Skater - I actually prefer guys go against one another vs just going around the ice.

Accuracy Shooting - Wasn't bad, it was nice to see the time keep getting beat

Puck Control Relay - Maybe the worst even of the night

Passing Challenge - I actually liked this event. To see how fast some of these guys hit these small window passes was amazing

Goalie Saves - My favorite event (then again my favorites are always goalies) and IMO the best one too. The event does have potential for disaster though and was only good because Rinne set a HUGE number and MAF ended up beating it.

I'd love to see the NHL throw in a rookie team. I'm not sure I'd have them play in the all-star game, but to get rookies in the skills competition would be cool. I know Brock Boeser made it this year, but I'd be interested to see how a full team or rookies would do in these contest vs the Vets.
