As for the PHI trade... Seems like decent value, especially with an unprotected 1st. PHI would have to make additional moves after this however. The problem is that most of the teams that would be willing to lose a decent RHD would want Sanheim back... So to lose him and get 0 decent D-men back might be a deal breaker for Hextall.

Also, Barbashev looks like he could have incredible upside some day. MTL would be a great place to get him opportunity. Not sure if the trade would be what STL wants tho

All in all these are definitely interesting moves

yeah i considered PHI RD needs but felt MTL wasnt in a position to offer them an NHL ready RD today as we're about a season from being comfortable with moving Petry .

if you'd do Koenechy instead of Strome i'd include Brooks in the deal our top D prospect who's tearing up the CHL right now 23 points in 16 games thus far for 4th in the WHL among all D(ty smith , alex alexeyev and dawson davidson with 2/3 being first round picks 2018 )

we need Brooks but at the same time Fleury's in the mix right now and he's playing well in his rookie AHL season plus we got Weber and Juulsen long term so if moving Brook helps us address our LD issues and gives us a LW ready today as opposed to in a couple years like Strome then move Brook could be an option .
