Playoff Avs

Not sure if Kaut is good enough for an NHL roster yet, Id rather keep him in the AHL for now. I'd also have Dries on the roster but besides that I like it. Hopefully Greer can finally find a spot in the NHL this year

I think COL can surprise some teams in the playoffs. If they get the 1st wildcard spot and get to play against the weaker pacific division i think they have a decent chance to make it to the 2nd or maybe even 3rd round

Kaut isnt far off, all reports of him so far is that he is going to be NHL ready before we know it. He might not be "2nd line ready" but I just placed him up there in an effort to add a little more size with 2 smaller talented guys.
Thats my logic behind Kaut and Greer on a playoff push, 2 bigger guys (both 6'2 Kaut, Greer 6'3 210lbs) that you go a bit heavier bigger hockey for the playoffs without sacrificing speed or skill.

Greer should be on the NHL roster after the TDL IMO, I think hes ready for a true Top 9 role on this team. I wouldn't be shocked to see them move on from Ghetto at the deadline, selling him off for an asset if they can. I do like Dries I agree, hes limited in his ability but I would take him over Ghetto right now.

I'm not completely sold on Kaut in the top nine this year, but Greer definitely should be. Makar is a stud, he totally should be on the roster after this NCAA season as he is Barrie's replacement in the future on the PP. What do you think of giving Saigeon or Henry a shot if their WHL/OHL teams get knocked out early?

Henry has been unreal for the Pats this season, him and Saigeon will get their ELCs after their season and report to the Eagles.

Kaut is a real player, he might not fully ready for such a role but hes not far out. Hes been impressing in the AHL so far so if the Avs need a skilled big body for the playoffs, hes not a bad option to have internally

I think a fair amount will depend on where the Eagles are at as I don't think that even with reinforcements that the Avs are quite there yet. Close but not quite. I agree though that they could go for it and ship out Nieto & Andrighetto for whatever they can get. I really liked the buzzing of Compher with Jost & Kerfoot at the end of tonight's game. I'd like to see that line together a bit more. I'm still on the retain Barrie and convert him to RW wagon when Makar comes through. It's worth a try if only for a season and a bit, and gives the option to protect him in the expansion as a forward (I'm assuming that they go off where the player has played the season before the draft rather than their total career to date).
