Description
I'm not sure Edmonton would be willing to trade Nurse but I just wanted to try something different. EDM is looknig for a RHD and Murphy is cost controlled. They get a 2nd pairing RHD and a 3rd pairing LHD. Duclair is a 20 goal scorer with loads of skill, maybe he finds his groove with EDM.
Not sure what a contract for Nurse would look like but can't see it being more than 5x6

IMO the CAR deal is very fair. They get rid of $12M in actual salary by moving Darling. Hossa costs them 0 actual dollars, just cap which they don't care about. They get a young backup goalie, the 27th overall pick this year and a 2nd pairing RHD to fill Pesce's spot since he will be 1st pairing now.

With these moves I thoroughly believe that with these moves and Crawford healthy that this team is immediately back in cup contention. The top 3 lines can all score and the D is rejuvenated. AND this doesn't even take into account who they pick with the 8th overall pick.

    Edm would be crazy not too strongly consider that offer. Losing Nurse is probably not in their long term plans but adding 2 good pieces on the back end and a reclamation winger. None of which have massive contracts which is important when you have McDavid Dria and Nuge's contracts. I like it. As a thank you gift Edm will offer Lucic for free

    Yeah I think the trade helps the Oilers with cost certainty which is why I could see it working.
    Love it. As an additional parting gift the Hawks will give you Brent Seabrook.
