Schedule B Bonuses $2,000,000 REALLY NOT POSSIBLE
As James Mirtle wrote a couple of hours ago:

Scoring Bonus (Goals, Assists, Points or Points per Game)
Top 10 forward in NHL
*minimum 42 regular season games played by Player and comparison group.
UPDATED *Matthew is NOT in the Top 10 in the League with Goals, Assists, Points or Points/Game. 23rd in Goals, 36th in Points per Game
Marner will almost certainly max out on 4 of his targets...he's just 1 goal away from that as well as maintaining his pts/gm above .73...so, as you stated, that is $850k
Nylander should hit at least 3 of 4 and certainly has a shot at all 4...so there's another $850k
Matthews is a lock to his his 'A' bonuses so that's $850k.
As for his 'B' bonuses...there appears to be some confusion as different hockey pundits are claiming different things. My understanding is that Matthews does hit his Schedule B bonuses as he's top 10 in goals/game (which is one of the stats he is eligible to hit) with at least 42 games played. Right now he's tied for 7th at .53/game and has 53 games played. If he comes back from injury and struggles a bit to find his form, he might fall out of the top 10. So that's another $2m for him. I'm figuring 17-18 performance carryover will be $4.5m and not less than $4,287,500.
18-19 likely falls in at $3.65m as Nylander will be off his ELC. They can push those again to the 19-20 cap..and will have the option to put Horton on LTIR again...but they should have $8-10m in space depending on how high the cap rises and what Nylander ends up costing to go add to the roster.
There's Schedule B bonuses that automatically get paid by the League, but it also says that clubs and players may negotiate separate schedule B bonuses, up to a max of $2m. It identifies performance targets as follows:
A forward who finishes among the top ten (10) forwards in the
League in goals, assists, points or points per Game (Minimum 42
Regular Season Games played by Player and comparison group)
There's been several spots that say Matthews' bonus includes being top 10 in goals/game, so I'm not sure if the Leafs would have been able to negotiate that outside of the CBA parameters set forth in Exhibit 5
Nice work. Yep that's how it's done. If Nylander is on RW, sure would like to see the the centre position filled with 2/3 C with that cap space, if not an defensive upgrade on Carrick.
