I wanna know your thoughts about this proposal.

I think it adresses MTL's need for a better future at center.
Borgstrom is considered NHL-ready in a top-6 role.
He ranks 16th in TSN's "Top 50 NHL-affiliated prospects".

It also fills another important need for MTL : finding a partner
for Shea Weber. Let's say that the fact that Matheson was born
in MTL is a little bonus.

FLA, on the other hand, get a huge scoring touch for many
years to come at a cheap price. Maybe MTL could retain even
more of his 4,5M$ AAV.

It's important to consider that I assume that Florida is not
part of Alzner's 7 team list where he doesn't want to land.

1 It adresses both teams' need.
2 Bergevin and Tallon know each other. (It certainly helps)
3 Matheson is from MTL.
4 FLA get a little compensation if Patches goes UFA.

-CONS-
1 I might be underestimating Matheson's value.
2 Alzner's contract. (But Matheson's is huge too)
3 FLA is a little tight in terms of cap space.
