except I don't think the Rags want Bjork... I think they're asking for Senyshyn or Zboril and I don't know about retaining salary...

first reports I heard had them asking for a 1st in 2018, a blue chip prospect (hinting towards Senyshyn or Zboril) , and a current roster asset (unknown)

Now reports are flooding in that, that current roster asset is indeed Brandon Carlo

No mention in either report about Rags retaining salary

2018 1st BOS/Zboril or Senyshyn/Carlo for McDonagh... This seems like an awful lot to give up for 1 guy... we have the #1 rated defense in the league and the best goals against/game; I really don't know if we should be screwing with that chemistry. I could see maybe adding to it, but making a major switch like this could be detrimental... The funny thing is I don't even like Carlo, and I think this has got bad news written all over it...

It is and that's why its not worth it. We have so many LHD prospects in our system, but after McAvoy & Carlo we have squat on the RHD for prospects

EDM has shown interest in the last 24 hours in Krug... the offer is said to be Klefbom, but this got me to thinking: what if we sent a counter offer? A summer deal NOT a TDL deal. Krug/DeBrusk/RFA rights to Spooner for EDM 1st 2018 (which we used to draft Adam Boqvist, a RHD that can play either side)??? I don't know if that would be enough for EDM to cough up a top 5 pick, but can you imagine what McAvoy and Boqvist could do as a defensive pair? Good God man!

You have to let this Boqvist kid go lol. You just gutted from this team a top 4 d-man + two top 6 forwards + a 1st just to get a kid whose never played in the NHL. Sure the kid could be a superstar, but he could just as easily be a bust.

I also don't put much stock in anything Murphy reports (and that Krug BS was started by him). Murphy actually said that the name came up and Boston said no. See Murphy likes to take things that mean nothing and try to make them into something. I bet a ton of guys on our roster have come up in trade talks....hell I'm sure someone asked about Bergeron, Chara, Rask, Marchand, McAvoy & Pasta. Why doesn't Murphy report on it? well because he knows he'd be laughed at (not that he already isn't) because that's just normal GM chatter. I imagine the discussion went like this....

PC - Hey Donny, is Krug available?
DS - Maybe in the off-season for the right deal
