Description
Eller is brought back in order to solidify Galchenyuk as a center again but to slowly move him into it, he can switch off with him as needed from his wing. De Haan is signed due to NYI most likely not having cap space to sign him with all the raises that they have to make. Backlund is ideally a 2c but for our purposes he would be much better over any of our other services. Ideally Alzner would be moved out to a team for their 2nd or 3rd pairing where he is not expected as much of as he is in MTL.

backlund should get more dollars and term in his last contract. elller should get more term also. alzner is probably not wanted even at 4m for four more years, just too much investment in a middle pair at best and potentially declining. that might be too much for Edmonton to give up for a player with just one more year in till ufa, although you your thought about byran playing with mcdavid is good. if byran is that potentially good in the future, Canadians should resign him. it's time to trade patches for maximum value during the summer. I'd back off signing dehaan. he coming back from injury, seem a lot to invest in a question mark.
