If Rossi is available, that would be massive for the Bruins, who need a young center. Him and Poitras could develop into a good top 6C duo for years to come.
For the actual trade, I know, I am 10000000% aware that the Wild have Wallstedt. I am absolutely aware of that, trust me. But having Ullmark would give them a top 10 goalie, who can either drag them into a playoff run next year, or be a top prize at the deadline, it's a win win. It is also worth noting that while Wallstedt is a top goalie prospect, goalies STILL take a long time to develop generally, even if there are flashes in the pan, it's almost always inconsistency that holds them back.
I'm NOT saying this is realistic, but it's definitely something that should be considered. I'm not huge on Gustavsson as a bruins fan, but I trust Swayman to carry the load. Trading Ullmark for Gustavsson is a very lopsided deal. Trading Lysell and a 2nd for Rossi is a slight win for Boston, so that should level it out. I'd also be good with paying Ullmark/Lysell and a first. I'd be OK with paying a good amount to get Rossi. Just comes down to what Minnesota wants and that the bruins have.
I'm sure Lysell would be in the return, but I'd imagine if anything he's looking for Dmen? Maybe a Lohrei for Rossi 1 for 1 could make sense
My assumption is there are other systems that are a better fit for Rossi than the Bruins
This deal makes limited sense based on us taking Flip’s contract and the presence of Wallstadt.
I’m really not into trading Lohrei because I believe we can find a better fit for our system than Rossi. Hes probably worth more to Minnesota than he would be Boston

Rumor is a larger forward actually. Wild have 4 or 5 D men in the system they expect to eventually be NHL defenseman ranging in ceiling from top pair guys to just a guy.
