Anaheim isn't trading Marner and sending his center back the other way.

Marner and Theodore have similar trade value, there is no world where Vegas adds a 1st, that condition also makes zero sense
LA can't afford Marner with the Byfield extension and they aren't trading a top 5 prospect in the league, a 1st, and a good shutdown center for a rental

The Kings (and very likely Danault) say no. Kings need to be adding more value contracts, not subtracting. Danault is probably on one of the more team-friendly (non-ELC) deals after Kempe, wouldnt make sense for the Kings to lose him. And our defense is pretty much going to be built around Clarke in the coming years, cant afford to lose him for a winger, as good as Marner is.
