Description
These trades occur either at the end of the season or at the 2024 Draft with the whole idea of getting younger and faster. One thing that has always been part of Sullivan''s system (sadly, he will still be here for next year) is having players on the roster who can go up and down the lineup with ease depending on who is playing well or not.

I also expect that there will be quite a bit of turnover on the roster and Dubas has already mentioned that there were some players who he had looked to trading weren't dealt at this year's deadline due to the term they had left on their deal, but I don't think he will reserve himself to just getting rid on those expiring deals.

Jarry, Smith, Graves, Neito and Rakell are all players who I think have some value and could be shipped out to other teams looking to fill specific roles and I tried to make deals that wouldn't bring in roster players but instead bring in draft picks and or prospects who could be fighting for a spot on the Pens roster now or sometime in the next few seasons.

The one trade that may need to be revised is the Pickering deal with SJ, though I have been following up more with this year's prospects and I feel like there are quite a few that would fit the Pens system more than what Pickering can provide now. I am uncertain of the Sharks' prospects, but adding Pickering who is a few more years ready to transition to the NHL could entice them to trade the Pens first back.

Draft Picks:

15th - Liam Greentree (RW)
29th - Henry Mews (RD)
46th - Dean Letourneau (C)
75th - Alexander Zetterburg (C)

*Yager plays a few games to start the season but is sent down to the AHL. Poulin ends up playing the rest of the season with the Pens to see what he can do.

As for the UFAs, I didn't want to bring back Guentzel or even sign Reinhart as those players will most likely want to chase bigger deals and a chance to go for the Cup but I do like the idea of Marchesslaut playing on either Crosby's or Malkin's wing would be something that could work (and depending if VGK do not re-sign him). Domi could also be changed for Stephenson (at 5.5 mil-ish per year) but I would think Domi would add a bit more toughness down the line-up.

Samsonov is only signed if TOR gives up on him for either Woll or another big-ticket goalie via trade and both he and Ned end up splitting the net for the year and Blomqvist gets a few games here and there.

Chatfield helps round out the bottom D-pairings. (I am not sold on St- Ivany being able to hold up an NHL spot)

Sharks pass on that I think. Pickering isn’t very interesting and the sharks already have a ton of LD.

Yeah, I wasn't too sure how deep the Sharks blueline is. Not a Team I have the chance to follow.

As a leafs fan, I am intrigued by the idea. Graves struggled this year and Niemela is promising but this is an actual intriguing adoea good for both sides.
Graves though is close to a position of need. Only problem is leafs also struggle with moving puck on the back end. That is why they signed klingberg which was a colossal failure. Depending on other moves the leafs do, this is a deal that makes sense for both.

By watching Graves this year, I don't think he works with an offensive-minded D-Man like Karlsson and or Letang, but I could see him doing well if he playing with somebody who is more of a two-way D-Man
