Qualify your RFAs. They are depth pieces. Familiar and decent depth pieces but all those RFAs are are just depth pieces. Essentially replaceable parts. If they don't accept the qualifying offers let em walk. You can find suitable replacements for them.
Woll is the guy and there are very few goalies in the league worth spending money on. Either than a handful of goalies, i'd spend no more than $2mill on a netminder with the state of the leagues goalies. Reward Jones with a bit of a raise and re-sign him as a back up and mentor.
Chadwick, Mitten, Cowan & Hildibeast get a look in camp and in the pre-season before being sent down.
Once Tavares comes off the books in 2025, Leafs will have room to offer better term and deals to their depth pieces as well add 2 top 6 forwards for what tavares is making.
Best thing that could happen to the leafs is reeves knees finally buckle and they can put him on LTIR and use his cap hit and the remaining cap hit for a 3rd line winger to have a solid third.
In regards to the big four up front. Whichever depth forward is playing the best, moves up in the top four of the line up to play with the core 4. Again, they are just depth pieces. SHould be happy to be there.
