Description
This would be the opening night roster 2024-25, if everything goes basically perfectly and we do not put top prospects in, which I have no issue with.

Does Musty stick around?

2025 Deadline unless something wild happens:
- Sell Granlund, Tarasenko, Sturm, Johansen
- Maybe Benning
- Blackwood, Ferraro?

Honestly this isn't a great draft to have a lot of late 1sts. If they did luck out and get 5, I'd trade the 14th and 23rd OVR tp move up to 6-8 and get Parekh

Oh yeah this is so hypothetical and I agree, I would love to trade up, I just think this is a great opportunity to them to get some firsts by using cap space, especially with the ability to use LTIR space with Couture and Hertl potentially. I also think because of this, these late firsts may be easier to get as well, which is why in this ACGM we got so many.

Next year I think we could get one more as well!

like your ideas but....rather have 2025 first from EDM and another pick rather than Broberg. He isn't going to be a top pairing guy and we have bunch of young LDs to develop. Also, I believe NYR 2024 first is off the table so it would likely be 2025.

we aren't signing Tarasenko, he isn't coming to bottom feeder even if he would get more money.

My idea was that the more the merrier w/ the LD and maybe just maybe one can play on the right side. The idea behind putting Broberg as LD 1/2 was just to give him some minutes he did not really have in EDM, he's been playing solid in the AHL, I just think he have a good chance at becoming a 2nd pair guy for the Sharks, but just a thought. EDM has been brutal at developing prospects, and I just think that maybe we could get a little lucky here.

For NYR I could settle w/ a second. The Tarasenko idea was to get someone to deal at the deadline, could be anyone.

At this point we have Thrun, Muk, and Ferraro as potentially 2nd pairing LHD. I don't see a need for another, maybe a better asset available. If Ferraro gets traded, hopefully we are getting a RHD prospect in return + a 1st/2nd.

I think the NYR 1st is in play, just the 2025 version. Rather have 2025 picks because the draft class is a little deeper next year.
