Jets make some more moves

I wonder if the Jets also move before the deadline on this one too, as Bowness said there is very little practice time in March (16 games in 31 days). The actual busy stretch is longer, going from February 23rd to April 1st (21 games in 39 days).

Will be interesting to see but if they get a vet like tanev who knows the grind and defensive side of the game at the level he does would be ideal. I'd prefer him to some more of the higher ticket guys like Chychrun, hanifin, etc. He's what we need and likely isn't the highest costing guy at what is rumored at a 2nd and another piece. I had to include stanley as including schmidt would cost more and for cap as well as roster reasons. Gustafsson and nikkanen are the pieces going as Gustafsson really hasn't shown why he can be a reliable 4c for the future and nikkanen is more change of scenery. If they can get a deal like this jets are walking into the playoffs with an amazing defense and great chance at going far.

If the Jets get beat in the Tanev sweepstakes, I wonder if they will move down their list to Johnson (BUF) or Lyubushkin (ANA) as bottom pairing RD depth.

no because Schmidt is the depth guy if Tanev gets traded...we dont need two. The option is getting a depth guy to use as the 7th D or get a better guy to play RD and bump Schmidt down
