      For Berggren, Detroit isn't selling him for picks/prospects. They're trying to use him as a piece for a bigger return. Edmonton wouldn't really be a direct trade partner without a 3rd team because the only players Detroit would be interested in are the ones Edmonton can't move.

      Only way I see him in Edmonton would be a 3 team trade, Berg to Edm, 1st to Pitt, Crosby to Det type deal.(obviously not this)

      Berggren probably isn't available for what Edmonton has to trade, I'm not sure Tomasino is available and there's no reason for Montreal to move Kovacevic to go from a 7th to a 4th.

      we dont need Kovacevic, hes really not that good. Better and cheaper options out there. Pipe dream for berggren would be a one for one swap with broberg, but I dont think it makes sense for where detroit is right now and what they would want

      You can’t really get a 5th D cheaper than 700k on the market…
