They’re not splitting up the Sillinger line. It has been the best line on the team for three straight games now, with an xG share over 60% last night. Sillinger is also a critical piece of the second best PK in the league. He doesn’t produce much himself but he makes his linemates better. The Kuraly and Sillinger lines shouldn’t be touched. They’re both effective.
As for where Johnson goes? I truly don’t know. One of Texier or Laine should probably sit. I still don’t see him at center over either of Jenner or Fantilli. The Texier-Fantilli-Laine line is a complete tire fire, so one of those parts has to move out. Gaudreau-Jenner-Marchenko has also had no results, but no individual part seems to be failing. So I’m back to Texier, who’s been adequate, or Laine, who’s been dreadful but who’s a delicate personality to navigate. I don’t know.
To be honest, might be worth giving Fantilli a night off to watch from the press box. He can watch with Roslovic, Severson, and the other scratches, and a little workload management à la Carlsson might be a good idea.
