TBH I see Panik, Hartman, DeBrincat, and Sharp all being very interchangeable throughout the year. All of them are capable of playing either side and have at some point in either their NHL career or Juniors. I'm not sure I see Panik on the Kane line ever though.
I'd personally start DeBrincat there because it will give him an easier adjustment to the NHL. He will see more offensive starts, opponents that aren't high level scorers, and he gets to play with 2 playmakers to set him up to do what he does best. Score goals. Once he's thoroughly adjusted to the NHL in all aspects I don't think it matters if he's playing on the 2nd or 3rd line.
