Could be a crazy interesting conversation if extensions of Lindholm and Nylander were discussed. I agree that everyone involved says no whether that be no trade claused or the management but it's a super interesting idea.

Right? Nylander was raised out in Calgary too which makes the topic juicier. I doubt however Brad is willing to deal like this again, last one hasn't worked out as well as he hoped

Treliving loves his big swings and to be honest they pan out more often than not, Toffoli, Hanifin/Lindholm, a lot of people don't but I personally still like the HAmonic trade. I think he was hamstrung by the ownership in the last deal and I don't think it was the trade but the extension that's killing them. Could you imagine if he brought in the same package, extended Weegar and flipped Huberdeau for 2.95M at the deadline!? They'd be in a way different spot I think!

Leafs decline nylander isn’t going anywhere

If Calgary traded for Nylander it'd be to have him play with Lindholm so Lindholm wouldn't be going the other way. Nylander certainly wouldn't waive to play for a team that's trading their 1st line center away without bringing another one in either.
