Description

I truly don't believe there is a goalie out there even for the Oilers in 2024/2025...
The best thing to fix that is build a confident, shut down D in front of many UFA goalie signings.

Brodie and Demelo are shut down guys, and while they are older, they know where to go in dire times. I think if you can adjust your defence lines as well aka never let Nurse and Bouchard play together.
Wedgewood has been playing great and would be a good backup. While having two solid depth goalies in the AHL helps if one falls.

No major trades, I think this team just needs to rework their D this offseason through UFA and then make a trade IF NEEDED at the deadline using their picks.

Sharks Pass, it’s not even that Kulak is a bad player, but sharks need to shed LD contracts bad! We have 2 NHL close LD with high ceilings in Thrun and Mukhamadulin that sharks need to give at least a chance to, add in Okhotiyuk who is getting stronger game by game and the vets Ferraro Knyzhov and Vlasic and sharks have 6 players signed for 3 spots already. Campbell trade I would consider… but that buyout seems more logical than giving up a guy like Bourgault and a 1st! Think you eat this year move some players who don’t fit the long term plans and re-tool this off-season.
Adding a top 10 pick 7-10 mil in cap and a cleaner start this off-season should be helpful! And the rebuild word should not even be a thought!
