Downgrading the bottom 6 for free I don’t understand why but alright I don’t think would edmonton do a single trade here expect the Montreal one

I won't say you're wrong, but I don't think Sturm would be much of a downgrade- if a downgrade at all. I think he'd bring certain qualities that would contribute to a more consistent bottom-6 performance (FO dominance, heavier, & more willing to drive the net). It's certainly fair to suggest that McLeod's results are due to him missing most of preseason recovering from an injury, but I have concerns about his ability to play the kind of game I want from my bottom-6.

In conjunction with adding a sparkplug like O'Brien and opening the cap space to ice a full NHL roster, I think these moves provide EDM with a few qualities that I think they would benefit from.

That being said, I'll concede that I have no idea how to value Ingram. Might've overpaid on him.
