The Windows Closing…

Let’s keep it open, if you look at the jets last three playoff exits, there’s one underlying factor, Injuries (And Suspensions) In 2020, the Pandemic year, we have the 24-Seed Bracket, so technically, the Jets qualified, but sadly only won a single game and lost to Calgary in 4, but in game 1, the lone Winnipeg victory, two key players became injured, star players Mark “Tantrum” Scheifele and Patrik “Get Me Outta Here” Laine. Losing both in game 1, meant there was no chance of victory against a Calgary who was Opening its short cup window. Even Wheeler, still a effective 1st line RW at the time was held to 1p. Calgary would go on to face Dallas and lose 4-2, the clinching game would be a blowout but the previous games were decided by a single goal, Dallas would go on to the Cup Final. 2021, the Jets surprised us all and swept the oilers in 4 (many such as myself predicted a oilers sweep) just as stunning the Montreal Canadiens came back from a 3-1 deficit and defeated a young Maple Leafs team, now, game 1 of round 2, the dying seconds of the game, empty net, Jake Evans picks up the puck and swerves around the net, and is met with a displeased Mark Scheifele, who lays a hit, a hit No worthy of a 4 game suspension, the NHL knew what it was doing, After Pierre-Luc “Don’t Like Anywhere” Dubois lacklustre season, there was zero hope for Winnipeg, and it showed, with zero effort, the Jets were out in 4, Montreal would go on to the cup final. 2023, No Ehlers + No Morrissey + No Scheifele = No Chance, and the Jets lost in 5, and wouldn’t you know, Vegas won the cup, so our last 3 playoff performances were not a full Jets team, but there’s one similarity with those three, Mark, each time Scheifele wasn’t there, that means the team has too much of its confidence surrounding scheifele, and that means he has to go. There’s two teams I see having interest in scheifele, NY and BOS. Both are desperate for the cup this year, but BOS is more desperate, therefore, will pay more, and the developments in Lindholm open to signing a extension really only leaves Scheifele to acquire. Scheifele always talks about “the plan” Gods plan, but right now, IM GOD, and my plan is to send him to Boston. Charlie Coyle is a great Center, on the 3rd line, not on the 2nd, and when your entire future should depend on this year with zero picks and prospects, you need a 1C. I’ll get this in the comments, “Carlo and Coyle have NMC” but was if Winnipeg isn’t one of the teams? Yeah right! But look at it this was, Carlo will never be a top Defensemen on the Bruins, he’ll always be behind McAvory and Lind, on Winnipeg, he’s your top 4HD, and Coyle, if Mark goes to Boston, he drops in the depth chart, and with geekie the guy has to compete for 3rd line, and the way Boston is right now, they ain’t making it, and Winnipeg if they listen to me, will. Demelo evens out this trade, and is a top 10 defensive defensemen in this league, and if it doesn’t work out, flip him at the deadline for a 2nd. I won’t explain the other trades because my fingers hurt but Hellebuyck signs a 2 year 9M extension to bridge a gap between now and Milic and Don entering the league, with them entering along with Rut, Colby, Lucius, Lambert, Samberg and Heinola becoming top 4D and Ehlers, Connor, Morrissey, Perfetti and Vilardi at the top of there game, it reminds me a lot about our cup run, old guys still at the top of there games and young guys rising up, it could be a cup.

I think they want to see Boeser play a full season under Tocchet before deciding if they want to keep him or move him. However, they have been actively trying to trade Garland.

We should still take this deal for Boeser though. Helps clear out winger logjam, frees up even more cap space for next offseason, and strengthens our defense for this season while adding a pick

No I don't think they should. The Canucks need to move out depth wingers like Garland or Pearson, not someone they feel has a chance to bounce back as a strong top-6 player.
