A few thoughts:

1) I think Jensen can get at least a 1st back at the 2024 TDL (assuming that is when this trade would go down). He has been the Caps best defender the last 2 years, has great analytical stats, and is on a solid contract for a top 4 RHD.
2) Love the idea of trading a RHD to bring up Iorio. As of right now, I'd probably say trade TVR (for probably a 2nd maybe more). Only say that because Iorio might need more "sheltered" minutes at the beginning. But all in all, totally with you on that front.
3) Sticking with D - I think Sandin makes a touch more money (5x6 maybe) but that is small details there
4) I am just not a fan of Lindholm and I think he will demand more money than given here
5) Sorry to be negative, but also not a fan of Boeser. Would rather trade Kuzy for picks/prospects and then make a splash at FA since the FA class if much better than this years
6) Going off of point 4, I'd like to make at least 2 big splashes at winger for next year, especially if Backy and/or Oshie retire
7) Milano to replace Snively for 3rd line.

Seattle will pass on Jensen. Too many D and not enough cap space to get Seattle interested.

Canucks can't do that without at least $1.5M retention.

1. Love the idea of getting a first for Jensen at the deadline, but disagree that he is the best caps defender. I find him serviceable but I'm always wanting more.
2. Can't agree here. TVR's contract isn't as movable as Jensen's contract and TVR has proven he can move up and down the lineup (and play both sides) without missing a beat.
3. Would be fine with this, that trade was a steal.
4. Fair enough, I just don't know what to do at center. I think the FA options will be slim. I don't see teams willing to give up a 1st/2nd line center on the cheap. CMM and Lapierre have not proven that they can handle 1st/2nd center minutes. And R. Leonard likely will not be NHL ready or, at least, not 1st/2nd center NHL ready come 24-25. Open to any trade ideas (and I would be willing to package CMM but not Lapierre in the deal).
5. Fair enough, I think the bigger issue is Kuzy's NTC and the fact that he does not have a good reputation around the league. Our trade partner options are limited and I would hate to see him walk for nothing or get a few 2nds in return. At least we could flip Boeser as his contract, playstyle, and reputation are more palatable to teams across the league.
6. I don't think Oshie will retire. I'll bet good money plays out his contract (barring a serious injury this season).
7. Disagree here. My biggest complaint about CMM is his speed and finishing ability. Pairing him with faster players that can score is better. I like Milano, but speed is not his game and he is more of a playmaker. Snively has speed and can score. While Oshie does not have speed, he does have finishing ability and has shown that he can elevate the play of younger players.

Good discussion here - really liked reading your thoughts.

Very curious of the following:
1) Who has been the most consistent / best defender for the Caps over the past few years then? For me, it is between Orlov and Jensen, but imo, Jensen provides consistency across each game. You know what you are going to get - a stay at home defender who has great skating ability.
Totally agree with point 4.
Agree with 5, but not about your last sentence. Boeser has been tried to moved, but nothing has come out of it. To me, that shows that teams are as intrigued with his contract and play as one would expect.
For 7, very minor agree to disagree, but Milano does not fit the Caps 4th line play in the past. Dowd usually gets a majority of defensive zone faceoffs, so his wingers need to be defensively minded - tat i certainly not Milano. Milano, to me, has more offensive upside then Snively - and Snively has way more defensive ability than Milano, which is why I'd put him on the 4th. But agree to disagree
