Center - Shlaine has great puck skills, but doesn’t have the size or skating to be first. Pytlik isn’t worth listing. And Clarke, if at center, is probably atop this list.
1. Salminen
2. Bardakov
3. Moynihan
4. Shlaine
5. Bowers
Left Wing - Gritsyuk is highest among group shown. I would also add Holtz and Foote to this category.
1. Holtz
2. Gritsyuk
3. Foote
4. Filmon
5. Halonen
Right Wing - Stillman is more of high floor, low ceiling prospect. Will likely be eventual Bastian replacement…we don’t expect much more.
1. Clarke
2. Hameenaho
3. Hauser
4. Stillman
5. Thompson
6. Squires
7. Brown
Left Defense - Luke first, but Vilen and Edwards are probably next two. Zaitsev is probably never coming over. Vukojevich is a project who hasn’t developed.
1. Hughes
2. Vilen
3. Edwards
4. Orlov
5. Hatakka
6. Misyul
7. Karpovich
8. Vukojevich
9. Zaitsev
Right Defense - Nemec first, Casey second. But McCarthy should be third. Hurtig and Leddy are probably in similar tier after that. Barabosha is just a big hitter who doesn’t bring much else to table.
1. Nemec
2. Casey
3. McCarthy
4. Hurtig
5. Leddy
6. Cheslock
7. Barabosha
Goalies - It’s Schmid, Daws and then a big question mark. Kallgren may be too old for this list, but included him anyway. Brady has a chance to be NCAA starter this view (gotta beat out Hrabel first) and could jump on this list. I have included AHL names too.
1. Schmid
2. Daws
3. Malek
4. Brennan
5. Brady
6. Kallgren
7. Poultier
8. Broduer
