I simply wouldn't. The ask from Calgary rn is too high for me to even be interested. Now that they have Fantilli who will play in the NHL this year instead of Carlsson who wasn't expected till next season, trading for a center isn't a necessity anymore. Fantilli likely isn't going to fill 1C immidiately, but I'd rather just do some combination of Him, Boone, Sillinger, Roslovic, and maybe KJ as the top 3 centers than give up a big package for a 1 year rental.

I like the Tanev trade from a Dallas perspective, I’d want a little bit more retention though.
