Value is fine but I can’t see canes doing it. Already have Slavin orlov Skjei on the left plus burns pesce chatty and soon to be tda on the right so hanifin makes no sense short term and long term. Lindholm would be good in the short term but I can’t see us giving him the Horvat or Dubois deals. Canes MO isn’t to move young cost controlled assets for very likely rentals.

Why is it so important that Lindholm hasn't signed but isn't for any of Aho, Matthews, Nylander, Toews, Montour, Stamkos, Marchessault, Scheifele, or Hellebuyck

I think because it was pretty public that he said he wasn’t extending in CGY (at least at first, I know they’re still putting full blitz on and not trying to trade right now).

Most of the rest of that list hasn’t leaked out or been reported that negotiations aren’t going well or player doesn’t want to sign there long term. A couple of guys (Nylander, Helley) there have been some reports in the vein of “negotiations not starting well” or “far apart for now”. Scheif has also been in the trade rumor mill bc it seems like they won’t be extending him.
