**Extend this summer**
1. Elias Lindholm
8x$8.5 (same as Bo Horvat)
Elias is going to be a great 2-way player well into his 30's, the Flames are not finding another centre like him for 5-6 years, we can go through a re-tool, but not without a 1C.

2. Tyler Toffoli
3-4x$5
Great leader, he will be scoring goals for the next 3-4 years still

3. Nikita Zadorov
3-4x$3.5-$4
Looking to move on from Noah & Tanev, we need some continuity, and Zadorov can play a physical defensive second pairing for us for a number of years. He can easily move down to bottom pair as Poirier/Kylington take over.

**Trade this off-season**
1. Noah Hanifan
We can get a good haul for Hanifan, as long as he goes somewhere with an extension in place. Hard to lose a guy who's 26 and already played 500 odd games, but there needs to be a youth injection and he probably gets us the best return after re-signing Lindy & Toff.

2. Mikael Backlund
Trading Backs makes me sick. But it's time. I honestly don't care if he'll re-sign **if** he gets the captaincy, we do not need a 35 year old signed until he is 38/39. Eventually father time will catch up to him, and he deserves solid money still.

3. Chris Tanev
I would also keep Tanev and let him be the one guy we walk to free agency, just because he matters so much to our defensive group, but with Weegar playing as well as he is, the risk of Tanev getting injured this year is too much.

No idea until we see him play again next season.
