Kubalik will walk into ufa, so no value there for a rebuilding team. A 15 point AHLer is useless on a rebuilding team. Basically you’re saying a late 1st next year is worth a 30+ goal scorer who is on a team friendly deal and who is also still an RFA at next contract.

Edit: didn’t realize Johansson was a d man. I still think that’s a stretch given what Philly has at LD, but it does make it closer

I considered Zadina in the deal instead of Kubalik. Does that do anything for you?

I guess it’s better. It’s just riskier because none of these pieces are even a little bit proven. If your PHI, I don’t really see the incentive to trade Tippett unless you’re getting a guaranteed top 6er who is young and wants to stay long term. He checks a lot of boxes for a rebuilding team. I almost think you could have TK easier than Tippett at this point.
