Bruins can't handle that cap hit next year, they will be moving hall to find a cheaper replacement, not to add almost $2m AAV.

if bruins could make the money work I would say both teams accept but they probably have to move Hall for nothing just to have a 23-man roster next year

We don't need another 2C coming back. We have Strome and Backstrom who will likely play 1-2. Then you have Protas, McMichael, and Lapierre who either already are in the NHL or are likely going to be ready to make the jump.

That being said, I'd rather not do this trade. Hall isn't anything special anymore. We could trade Kuznetsov for assets somewhere and then sign a guy like Domi, Tarasenko, or Barbashev for the same or less money and get similar or better production.

Kuznetsov makes more money, is awful defensively and is regressing offensively. Anyways, he's too old for the Bruins.
