Description

Cat should be signed to a two year deal, no more.

Sens will need cap room for Sanderson and Pinto and possible large AAVs to Greig, Soogard, Kleven if they develop to their potential. Not to mention trying to resign Chychrun in two more years.

Sign Cat to two years now, front loading the first year above his QO, will allow Sens to reevaluate and have room for our current prospects and pending UFAs.

Cat can take his 1 x $9,000,000 QO and be done with it. No way is he taking no 2 x $8,500,000 offer from Ottawa. It's either in the 8 x $9,000,000 range or his 1 x $9,000,000 QO and be done with it. Nothing in between.
