Lines to Finish the Season

Just begging for Pelletier to get some time with Backlund, he's got such a solid 200 ft game that it's crazy he hasn't seen any time with Backlund and Coleman. I didn't mind Duehr elevated in the line up if Coronato isn't there. If Ruzicka wasn't making below league minimum next season I wouldn't be surprised if he found himself in the AHL next season.

For the most part I like it, I just worry Dube & Toffoli won't be able to cover Kadri Defensively (I'd be more comfortable with Coleman-Kadri-Toffoli/Lewis as a 3rd line) and I prefer Gilbert over Stecher personally. Otherwise how bout this instead:

Ruzicka-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Pelletier-Backlund-Toffoli
Huberdeau-Dube-Kadri
Coleman-Lewis-Duehr/Coronato

Thoughts!? At least Ruzicka & Pelletier are sheltered by our Top 2 Defensive Centres and get 2 RW Snipers. Dube-Kadri might replicate and give Huberdeau the feel of Bennett-Duclair. I'm set on moving Kadri to the RW to become our next Matthew Tkachuk there. Finally Duehr is sheltered by Defensive Gurus Coleman & Lewis. If Coronato signs, he can be inserted over Duehr and work his way around and up from there, maybe even replacing Lewis at 4C OR Dube at 3C if he's good enough.

I'm not against those lines, but I wouldn't want to have Huberdeau on a '3rd line', I'd be looking to give him more minutes and every opportunity to get going. I like Ruzicka, but I just don't see him as a consistent top 6 guy. So swap Huberdeau and Ruzicka.

Coleman-Lewis-Duehr 4th Line would be perfect, and that 2nd line makes sense. So might have to leave Coronato out or filter him through the line up if guys aren't on there game. The reason I put Pelts and Coronato with Backlund was to give them that leader to play with and show them the ropes.

For Sure, Swapping Huberdeau & Ruzicka's a possibility, I just think Ruzicka needs the shelter of and connects better with Lindholm than Huberdeau. Ruzicka was solid when on the 1st line and fell apart after being demoted down to the 4th line

I understand the traditional Numbered Lines, but I'm suggesting more balanced lines that play similar minutes = 13 minutes EACH at Even Strength with just the 4th "Checking/Energy" line getting the reduced 8-12 mins per game. Of course whichever line is playing best is the one who gets the most minutes and becomes the "Top Line" that game. Hoping it results in to THREE 1st/Top Lines type thing, as opposed to Best, Very Good, Good Type Lines

I agree with Backlund being the perfect Shelter/Leader/Mentor for Young Wingers, like Pelletier. Coronato should be introduced on the 4th line either at 4RW, then maybe split time at 4C and/or taking Faceoffs with Lewis, since he's become a Centre at Harvard and then if he looks good from there, we can move him up to 2RW, 3RW or 3C. I'm just set on moving to Kadri to RW
