Description

Wanted to get a look and an idea of what sort of value Krug would have at 4.5m on his contract. 4.5m is alot more palatable for a guy who needs to be sheltered at 5v5, but is a high end point producer and PPQB. Pittsburgh just made sense to me given where they're at, also in terms of Krug waiving, could definitely see it being appealing to him there.

Threw in potential Scandella deadline deal just to see what the defense would look like with both of them removed. It's not good, but it gives some cap space and flexibility for a guy or two to come in and compete for a spot going forward.

Mentions "j'aime": 994

The Pens have POJ and Smith. Both can be used in Krug's role for a fraction of the cap hit. I'd rather stick with them and use the cap savings on fixing our bottom 6. With that said, I think the value is fair here. I just wouldn't personally do it.
