I think I’m down for this. I feel like WSH would be too, considering I haven’t seen much big value offers for him, but we might need to add something here. Might have to be the TOR 1st instead of the 2nd. I like the Schenn add but that’s too much term. Two years and I’ll take it. I would switch up the forward lines a bit.

Acciari would be nice to have back but I don’t think it’s needed. Just remove him and take a mil of retention off Kuzy. I doubt WSH would be down for that much retention.

The only issue as has been pointed out already is the retention. I’d be fine with the caps taking back Kapanen to free up some money for the blues for a season rather than retaining for two years.

Caps getting much less cap flexibility and significantly worse on the ice isn't worth it for pick 25.
