Description
I just don’t think savoie can go back to jrs again next year and he won’t be eligible for Rochester. Jiri looks so good and putting him with tuch an cozens will jump his development

EDM can't afford Olofsson and probably wouldn't pay that for him.

Well this is just not smart at all
And that’s me putting it nicely

Kulich making the Sabres is a reach
Yeah, he looks good. But he still has more development to do
Putting him on line 2 is a joke

And just bc Savoie is too good for juniors (or whatever),
that doesn’t mean he’s ready for the NHL
And playing him on the 4th line is just brutal dude
Are you Ralph Kruger???

This is the kind of nonsense that fans do,
and not what a real life GM does

Not that i think the Sabres should trade Olofsson,
but EDM should jump at the idea of getting him
He’d tear it up playing with McDavid or Draisaitl

Maybe, but he wouldn't get 1st unit PP time and won't positively contribute to their on-ice defensive results at 5-on-5 which makes him a less-than-optimal fit. Further, he's a pending FA following next year so, even if we presume he destroys the league, the team couldn't afford to keep him which limits my perception of the "value" he would bring.

To challenge your assumption that he'd succeed with McDavid or Draisaitl, it's vital to ask: who are the players who have thrived alongside each of them and what traits do those who have thrived possess and/or share? As a fan of the team, I've watched a lot of different players cycle through the Ws for those two and spent a good deal of time focusing on precisely that issue. What I've identified over time is that the players that found success with and brought out the best in them had at least 2 of these qualities:

1.) strong cycle game (board battles, smart positioning, etc)
2.) control of the front of the net (positioning, strength, tip-in/deflections, etc)
3.) ability to read off their plays at a high level and contribute with smart & deft touch-passing plays (like give & go plays)
4.) actively assumes the role of F1 on the backcheck so they can focus more on offense
5.) puck pursuit & retrieval

Hyman brings #s 1, 2, and 5
Maroon brought #s 1 and 2
Nuge brings #s 1, 3, 4, and 5
Yamo brings #s 3 and 5
Puljujarvi brought #s 4 and 5

In my admittedly limited viewings of Olofsson and the way he's described by others, I get the sense that he would perhaps bring # 3 alongside his strong shooting arsenal but would otherwise not fit that mould. Maybe that would be enough to find success, but I'm not inclined to believe it based on my experience. Besides, they're not desperate for finishers on their lines now that they're two of the best finishers in the league.

They don’t have to be “desperate for finishers” for Olofsson to go there & light up the scoreboard
U don’t have the Cap Space to fix your defensive issues,
so u might as well bring in some fairly cheap offensive talent to try & win by outscoring teams
As far as how you keep him….
Extend him before he scores 40goals for you

And he could be on PP1 imo
His shot is insane
