CHI should take that and run. It seems like an over pay. I mean Lafferty’s having a good year and has another year term, but you should be able to get a much better player in Ivan Barbashev for that price. Add a 4th and he likely comes 50% retained too

Send us a 5th + Canadian C Prospect like Matthew Rempe for Brett Ritchie instead, as we have no want, need or use for Jake Leschyshyn at all

Better yet, let’s do a Kravtsov for Ritchie Trade. CGY will even add a Sweetener if need be.

Love the Calgary deal (as long as he’s the 13F), hate the Chicago deal

Big overpay for Lafferty, plus the rangers can’t afford to be paying their 4C much more than league minimum next year. I would expect to see Brodzinski or (ughhh) Leschysycyxn there

EDIT: if Chicago will retain 50% on Lafferty, you might have something. Still don’t like the cost though
