Sneaky good prospect, recently WHL player of the week, I think he climbs the ranks fast once he starts playing the pro game. Still obviously a lottery ticket prospect though.

No way Calgary does that Florida trade. Kylington for Duclair is a 1 for 1. Zero reason to attach a cost controlled guy on pace for 45 points and heating up

I don't think Kylington gets moved this year unless it's to a team that is planning on stashing him on LTIR for next season, in your mind what would his value be today?

Kylington isn't playing with no timeline whatsoever, contract is up after next season if he was having the exact same season he was last season, absolutely I am right there with you, as of today looking at it he's a piece that Florida could use next season hopefully and in this post specifically Kylington would be a 6-7 competing for time with Zadorov due to Fabbro. I get that he could still have value but if there were a trade made today he would be a lottery ticket for some team. Duclair is an all around upgrade on Dube in my opinion, 0.71ppg over the last three seasons, chemistry with Huberdeau at 3M for another season I think it would be a really good gamble that he returns to form.

Regarding Dube, he's been close to popping for years now and I think the guys on the radio take him as a breakout candidate for the last three seasons but he then has a similarly efficient year every season. Last season he had a 13 game and 11 game pointless drought including the playoffs and this season he's already got a streak of 11 games without a point, he's a good enough middle sixer but there is room to upgrade.

i wouldn't do either deal. We don't necessarily need Fabbro. And Florida prolly want prospects/picks over players in order to relieve some cap.

Fair enough, Fabbro feels like an upgrade on the right side and with Tanev only having two years left on the north side of 30 I think having a really good RFA D man on the right side will be a huge benefit in a couple seasons. Fabbro may not really be a need this year, I agree, but there needs to be a 3RD that pushes Stone down the line up this season. I think a part of the Florida deal that I should have explained my thinking more is that Florida could stash Kylington on LTIR for cap reasons if it works out, I definitely don't know it well enough to know the exact benefit there would be but let him sort out his issues and come to camp next year to fight for a second pairing role.
