I think that makes sense.

What about sandin, Samsonov, and a first? Going for a top 6-top 3 guy that is what it takes. Then again you have Hart, but re-up Samsonov at 3 mil maybe or maybe take kalgren and a forward, sandin, and a first.

I totally agree Konecny is a very good player, I think he'll have a long all star career too.

I think to a rebuilding team guys that are close to NHL ready last year of Ufa having their rights, I don't think it's that weird

Absolutely not. Sandin and Samsonov are not only parts of the leafs future, but also now, no interest in trading either for Konecny. A Konecny trade would be centred around picks and prospects.
